What is die engraving?

Concave engraving is to cut the pattern part, while leaving the wood material surface intact on the outer part of the pattern. There are two situations when using wood laser carving machine. The first situation is that the cutting force is the same for each point on the pattern, and the engraved pattern is mainly reflected by the outline shape; the second situation is based on the distribution of the pattern's brightness and contrast. The "dark" part of the pattern should be cut out more, and the "bright" part of the pattern should be cut out less or not. The former is suitable for sculpting characters, animals, plants and other patterns with main appearance, while the latter is more suitable for sculpting patterns with details such as facial expressions.

What is punch engraving?

Contrary to the concave mold engraving, wood laser carving machine only cuts the material around the pattern, and the cutting force is the same at each point, but the pattern itself is left uncut. This kind of engraving method is suitable for the expression of text, figure outline, etc. The material cutting method of the latter two engraving methods is that each time the laser head walks on the cutting surface, it cuts a linear groove, and then cuts the next line after a small translation distance. The distance between two slots can be O. 05-0. 5mm. In this way, multiple linear grooves are used to achieve the purpose of removing the area material required by the two engraving forms. Of course, in the second form of die engraving, on the same cutting line, the size of the groove, especially the depth of the groove, will change as needed.
